There’s no doubt that the India vs England 2nd Test will be remembered for Yashasvi Jaiswal’s double hundred. The young India batter grabbed an impeccable triumph in the match by smacking a double century in the 1st innings. After his amazing knock, Yashasvi Jaiswal shared an Instagram video to share his reaction and thank fans after his impeccable knock.
Starting as an opener, Yashasvi Jaiswal shattered 209 runs off 290 deliveries as England bowlers went helpless against him. During his classic knock, the left-handed batsman hit 19 fours and 7 sixes. When he was 6 runs short of the double ton, he stormed a six-over long-on to reach the milestone.

Indian Cricket Team shared a video on Instagram in which Yashasvi Jaiswal shared his reaction after his double ton. Jaiswal was short of words but said he enjoyed it. He also thanked his fans for their wishes and support after his brilliant knock.
“I enjoyed it…every ball and it was nice to go out there and express myself. I don’t have a lot of words to explain to be honest. I just enjoyed it and I was so happy. I was thinking to make it big 100 percent”, the 20-year-old said.
“When I actually finished the double hundred and then I felt like I enjoyed really well and I wanted to celebrate and enjoy that moment. I just did like this… kisses to all my loved ones. Fans compare Yashasvi Jaiswal to Virender Sehwag
Indian cricket fans were full of praise for Yashasvi Jaiswal after his amazing double ton in the match. Some fans also compared him to former India opener Virender Sehwag. Like Sehwag, Jaiswal is also a hard-hitting opening batter. Notably, Sehwag holds the record for hitting three triple tons in Tests for India.
Meanwhile, Jaiswal was the only batter to come up with a good knock in 1st innings of IND vs ENG 2nd Test at YS Rajasekhara Reddy Cricket Stadium in Visakhapatnam. Others could not score a half-century. Interestingly, Jaiswal slammed more than 50 percent of the team’s total of 396 in 1st innings.
Jaiswal, who plays for Rajasthan Royals in IPL, has played 6 Tests so far for Team India. He has mustered 637 runs at a stunning average of 57.91. He has hit 2 centuries and 2 fifties. In his first-ever Test match against West Indies last year, the left-hander shattered a 171-run knock.
