Legendary India National Cricket Team player Sachin Tendulkar, who is regarded as one of the greatest batsmen in the history of cricket, showered praise on Shreyas Iyer and Ravichandran Ashwin after India’s win over Bangladesh in the second Test match.
The second Test between India and Bangladesh was played at the Shere Bangla National Stadium in Mirpur. While chasing a small 145-run target on the spin-friendly surface, India were reduced to 74/7. However, Shreyas Iyer and Ravichandran Ashwin forged a 71-run unbeaten stand for the 8th wicket to guide India to triumph before the lunch break on Day 4.

While batting at No.8, Iyer scored 29 runs off 46 balls, including 4 fours, and Ashwin, while batting at No.9, scored 42 runs off 62 balls, including 4 fours and 1 six.

On Sunday, December 25, Tendulkar took to Twitter to praise Bangladesh spinners – Mehidy Hasan Miraz and Shakib Al Hasan – for performing superbly in the 4th innings while defending a small total. Notably, Mehidy Hasan Miraz ran through India’s batting unit and bagged 5 wickets while Shakib Al Hasan bagged 2 wickets.
