Indian Cricket Team is all set to lock horns against Bangladesh in a 3 Match ODI Series commencing from 04th December. Later the team is also slated to play 2 Test Match Series which would be a part of the World Test Championship Cycle (WTC 2021-23)

Bangladesh Cricket Team would be delighted that India is visiting as this is India’s first tour since 2015. In 2015 Bangladesh had miraculously won the ODI series and stunned the Men in Blue. Bangladeshi Tigers would be aiming to take a leaf out of that performance as currently they are seen struggling after their ODI series defeat against Zimbabwe.

Ravindra Jadeja & Yash Dayal Injured

The All India Senior Selection Panel has named the replacement for Jadeja & Dayal. Ravindra Jadeja is yet to recover from his knee injury whereas Yash Dayal has a lower back injury. The two could have made an impact, especially Yash Dayal who had gotten a maiden call-up.

Kuldeep Sen & Shahbaz Ahmed have been named the replacements for the injured duo. Shahbaz Ahmed recently made his debut against South Africa and has shown promising signs.

India’s squad for Bangladesh ODIs:

Rohit Sharma (C), KL  Rahul (VC), Shikhar Dhawan, Virat Kohli, Rajat Patidar, Shreyas Iyer, Rahul Tripathi, Rishabh Pant (WK), Ishan Kishan (WK), Shahbaz Ahmed, Axar Patel, Washington Sundar, Shardul Thakur, Mohd. Shami, Mohd. Siraj, Deepak Chahar, Kuldeep Sen

Fascinating Contest on Cards

The Men in Blue would sense that they have a strong chance to find their ideal combination for the next year’s ODI World Cup 2023. It looks like Shikhar Dhawan is going to be the opening partner of Rohit Sharma which makes the combination quite deadly.

India’s squad has a great mixture of youth and experience as Bangladesh would be tested. Bangladesh would be banking on their skipper Shakib al Hasan to lead the team from the front and make an impact after the dreadful T20 World Cup 2022 where they were not able to make it to the Semi-Finals. It won’t be wrong to say that it’s a battle between India’s batters vs Bangladesh’s spinners.
