The BCCI decided to make changes to the India A coaching set-up because NCA head – VVS Laxman, along with his support staff of Hrishikesh Kanitkar and Sairaj Bahutule, are currently in New Zealand for the 6-match limited-overs series.

Also, the India National Cricket Team fielding coach Dilip, who had been given a rest following India’s T20 World Cup campaign, will join the Indian Test team for the Bangladesh series after his duties with the India A.

The 29-year-old Uttar Pradesh all-rounder Saurabh Kumar, who has been performing well in domestic cricket, could replace veteran all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja in India’s Test squad for the upcoming series against Bangladesh National Cricket Team, if Jadeja doesn’t recover from his knee injury.

The India tour of Bangladesh 2022 consists of a three-match ODI series and a two-match Test series. The ODIs will be played on December 4, 7, and 10 in Mirpur. The Test matches will be played from December 14 to 18 in Chattogram and from December 22 to 26 in Mirpur.

Notably, Bengal all-rounder Shahbaz Ahmed has already been named as Jadeja’s replacement for Bangladesh ODIs.
