Indian Cricket Team’s dynamic wicket-keeper batter Rishabh Pant was in beast mode in the 1st innings. He smashed a turbulent knock of 93 runs in 105 balls where the batter smashed 7 fours and 5 sixes. The batter along with Shreyas Iyer were involved in a massive partnership of 159 runs.

Shreyas Iyer was quite aggressive in his approach as the batter where he played a significant knock of 87 runs in 105 balls. The batter was quite keen on rotating the strike where the duo unleashed the attack against Bangladesh.

Rishabh Pant was having an interaction with Anjum Chopra before the start of Day 3′ play and was asked about not getting to century. “As an individual, I don’t think about the landmark so much. Three figures are just a number for me, I try to play out the situation most of the times. If it happens, it’s good. If it doesn’t, can’t control that. As an individual, I am fine because I knew I was batting well. I didn’t capitalize because I missed my hundred, but happy that Shreyas Iyer and I got our team out of trouble,” said Rishabh Pant.

Indian Cricket Team was in a precarious position where the team was reduced to 94-4. The spinners Taijul Islam & Shakib Al Hasan were getting a lot of assistance from the pitch. The peculiarity of Rishabh Pant’s knock was that the batter wasn’t afraid to go down the track and against the spin.

The management would be delighted with the performance of both Shreyas & Rishabh as they not only bailed out the team but dented Bangladesh’s confidence. India got a sizeable lead of 87 runs in the 1st innings which is quite priceless in modern cricket.
