Batting first, veteran opener Shikhar Dhawan endured a third consecutive failure in the series. He was cleaned up by Mehidy Hasan Miraz for 3 in the 5th over itself.

Then came something that Bangladesh would have never expected as youngster Ishan Kishan and batting great Virat Kohli showcased a batting masterclass and built a wonderful partnership. They added 290 runs in just 190 deliveries. Kishan was the aggressor as he contributed 199 runs in the partnership and Kohli contributed 85 runs.

Talking about the hero of the match, Ishan Kishan scored his maiden ODI century and then converted it into a remarkable double century. The 24-year-old became the fastest player in history to score 150 and 200 ODI runs in an innings.

Overall, he scored 210 runs off 131 balls. His innings consisted of 24 fours and 10 sixes, meaning he scored 156 runs off boundaries. Kishan became the 4th Indian batter and overall only 7th batter in history to smash an ODI double century.

Meanwhile, Virat Kohli registered a century for himself as he smashed 113 runs off 91 balls, including 11 fours and 2 sixes. This was his first ODI ton since August 2019 and overall his 72nd international century.

Also, the stupendous knocks of Kishan and Kohli helped India post their 4th highest ODI total on the board, 409/8. This was the 6th time in ODIs that India topped the 400-run barrier.

Chasing the target, Bangladesh lost the wickets of Litton Das and Anamul Haque inside the first powerplay and after 10 overs the Bangla Tigers were at 66/2. In the next 10 overs, Mushfiqur Rahim and Yasir Ali got out and Bangladesh were at 109/4 after 20 overs.

The Bangladesh batters struggled against the Indian bowlers, they failed to get going and were bundled out for 182 in 34th over. All six Indian bowlers looked in a good rhythm and all of them picked up at least one wicket each. The three-match ODI series ended with Bangladesh winning by 2-1.
