On Saturday, the second T20I match between India and England will see numerous superstars making their comeback. It may bring back players like Rishabh Pant and Virat Kohli to the starting lineup.

Arshdeep Singh will be replaced by Jasprit Bumrah, a leader in speed. Parthiv Patel, a former cricketer, commented on the potential squad selections by saying that the names on the list are some of the best players in the team, causing severe headaches for the team management.

Axar Patel To Make Way For Ravindra Jadeja In Indian Playing XI: Parthiv Patel

Axar Patel will make way for Ravindra Jadeja in Edgbaston, he said when asked who will make the cut, adding that Shreyas Iyer might not.

“One change is for sure and that is Axar Patel will be replaced by Ravindra Jadeja. Jasprit Bumrah will come in place of Arshdeep Singh. Virat Kohli will also come, but we don’t know on who’s place. I think he will replace Deepak Hooda at three,” he told Cricbuzz.

“There is some chance that Shreyas Iyer might not get a place in the playing eleven. Rishabh Pant will also come for sure, but we don’t know whose place he will take,” he added.

Who Will Rishabh Pant Replace?

Despite having a poor batting record in the shortest format, including the IPL 2022, Rishabh Pant, who captained India against South Africa in a five-match T20I series, was still able to contribute some runs in Test matches. He was able to hit a hundred at the one-off Test match at Edgbaston after a solid knock in the warm-up game.

When asked if Deepak Hooda will make way for Kohli, RP Singh responded in the positive. Despite claiming that it is unfair to someone like Hooda, who has just hit a lot of runs, he said that Kohli is simply too excellent.

“Sometimes it happens that you score a lot of runs in domestic cricket and yet you can’t get a place because the man in the national team is just too good. The question is who will Rishabh Pant replace? Ishan Kishan or Dinesh Karthik?”
