India lost the third and final T20I against England by 17 runs in Nottingham but still went on to win the T20I series 2-1. This was a good comeback for Rohit Sharma and his boys after the disappointing 5th Test loss at Birmingham. Both teams are now preparing to face themselves in the first of the three ODIs et The Oval on July 12, Tuesday.
A maiden T20I century from Suryakumar Yadav was not enough to see India home as Virat Kohli’s struggles with the bat continued in this series. Rohit Sharma looked impressive but could not continue and get a big score for his team. Overall it was an impressive performance from the lower order of India which bailed them out in the two.

Both ECB and the BCCI have named strong squads for the three-match series. Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli and Jasprit Bumrah return to India’s full-strength ODI squad. On the other hand, England has a new white-ball captain in Jos Buttler after Eoin Morgan’s international retirement.
