England National Cricket Team defeated India National Cricket Team by 17 runs in the third T20I to deny them a clean sweep. Also, Suryakumar Yadav’s sensational century went in vain and the series ended with India winning by 2-1.

Earlier, England won the toss, decided to bat first in the match and they made two changes to the playing XI as Reece Topley and Phil Salt replaced Sam Curran and Matt Parkinson.
On the other hand, India once again made four big changes to the playing XI as Ravi Bishnoi, Avesh Khan, Umran Malik and Shreyas Iyer replaced Yuzvendra Chahal, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Jasprit Bumrah and Hardik Pandya.

Avesh Khan opened the attack for India in the absence of Bhuvneshwar Kumar and he bowled 5 dots, conceding only 2 runs. Express pacer Umran Malik came up with the second over and he bowled a 17-run over. Ravi Bishnoi bowled the third over and he conceded 8 runs.
In the 4th over, Avesh Khan dismissed Jos Buttler, who looked in good touch and scored 18 runs off 9 balls, and gave away just 5 runs. In the next two overs, England scored 11 and 9 runs and at the end of the powerplay, they were at 52/1.
Umran Malik bagged his first wicket of the match by dismissing Jason Roy on the first ball of the 8th over. Roy scored 27 runs off 26, including 1 four and 2 sixes.
Then, the 31-year-old pacer Harshal Patel castled Phil Salt for 8 with his trademark slower full-toss on the third ball of the 10th over.

After that, Dawid Malan and Liam Livingstone had an 84-run partnership before the former was dismissed by Ravi Bishnoi. Malan scored 77 runs off 39 balls, including 6 fours and 5 sixes.
In the end, Liam Livingstone scored unbeaten 42 runs while Harry Brook and Chris Jordan chipped in quick runs to help England post 215/7 on the board.
Chasing the target, India lost quick wickets of top-3 batters – Rishabh Pant (1), Rohit Sharma (11) and Virat Kohli (11).

In the end, Suryakumar Yadav smashed his maiden T20I century to become the 5th Indian batter to achieve this milestone. He scored 117 runs off 55 balls, including 14 fours and 6 sixes. However, he got no support from the other end and India lost the match.

India has so many batsman who can get going from the start , some of them are unfortunately sitting out. Need to find a way to play the best available players in current form in T-20 cricket. #IndvEng

Beat Sri Lanka 3-0 in T20
Beat Sri Lanka 2-0 in Tests
Beat England 2-1 in T20— Johns. (@CricCrazyJohns) July 10, 2022
Proper brain fade move this from Buttler, regardless of how this ends. He had to bowl Moeen, but he needed to take a chance with Jordan before that. Moeen should have bowled the last one. Among the two, Jordan had a better chance of restricting SKY.

India were one Umran Malik over away from winning this series 3-0. Not bad. If they can actually get couple more hitters instead of Kohli and Iyer, they’d be terrific.

England have defeated India to finish the series on 2-1. Simply the best knock by Suryakumar Yadav went in vain.

Where would you rate this knock of 55 ball 117 form Suryakumar Yadav in T20I history, irrespective of the fact that it came in a losing cause?
It is beyond imagination knock given the situation India were in. #CricketTwitter | #ENGvIND

One of the best knocks you'll see. Power is as skillful as anything else, but something magic about watching a Test innings – gorgeous, orthodox, controlled – but with all the dots sucked out. Pace, spin; offside, legside. Spectacular from Suryakumar Yadav. As good as it gets.

Thank you Team India for losing. We don't want to ruin our youngsters, and important to make them humble. Good move.
