Watch: Virat Kohli's Confident Innings Brought To An End By David Willey
Indian batter Virat Kohli looked much better compared to his last few innings in the second ODI against England but his innings was cut short by England pacer, David Willey, on Thursday.
After setting a target of 247 on a good surface at Lord’s, the English opening bowlers set the pace with some tight bowling. Their perseverance was rewarded with Reece Topley snaring the wicket of Rohit Sharma.
Shikhar Dhawan fell soon after and Rishabh Pant followed suit with a 5-ball duck. Meanwhile, Kohli looked solid at the other end and played some crisp drives.
He looked confident in his leaves but a similar story of chasing after wide balls brought an end to his brief knock. The 33-year-old fished at an away-going delivery and the nick was easily gobbled up by Jos Buttler to reduce India to 31/4.
