India face off against Ireland in the second and final T20I of the two-match series. India won the first game and are leading the series 1-0. They will be eyeing a whitewash before heading off to England for a full-fledged series. Hardik Pandya is leading the Indian team while Andrew Balbirnie is the captain of the Irish squad.

The Indian team won the first match by seven wickets in what was a rain-curtailed encounter. Deepak Hooda walked out to open the batting and scored an unbeaten 47 to help India win the game. There were contributions from Ishan Kishan (26) and Hardik Pandya (24) as well.

Earlier in the game, Ireland’s Harry Tector scored an unbeaten 64 to take his side to 108/4 after they lost three wickets inside the powerplay. He added a 50-run stand with Lorcan Tucker (18) after Ireland were reduced to 22 for 3 inside four overs.

Rain played spoilsport in the first game in Malahide. The game was shortened to 12 overs per side with a total of 16 overs taken out of the game. There is rain prediction in the second game as well. The match starts at 4.30 pm IST. There will be shower spells across the morning and the afternoon. The temperature has been really cold in Ireland and will be around 15-18 degrees during the day.
