Former Pakistan cricketer Danish Kaneria stated that many people were targeting Hardik Pandya because of his underwhelming showings in the T20 World 2021.
He speculated that the Mumbai Indians (MI) may have released him before the IPL 2022 auction because he was not fully fit to bowl.

After MI dismissed him, Kaneria claimed that Pandya had a point to make. He emphasized that the 28-year-outstanding old’s performances with bat and ball during the most recent season of the lucrative league contributed to his success in doing so.

He stated, “Following the T20 World Cup 2021, Hardik Pandya had to deal with a lot of criticism. He recovered, though, and had a triumphant turnaround. After being rejected by MI, he was given the task of coaching a team in the IPL and felt he had something to prove. As he became a standout performer for the team, GT showed confidence in him.”
‘Chahal was exceptional with the ball’: Danish Kaneria
In the first T20I of the series against Ireland on Sunday, June 26, in Dublin, the Hardik Pandya-led Indian team prevailed decisively by seven wickets. In the rain-soaked match, Yuzvendra Chahal stood out as the visitors’ preferred bowler.
Due to rain, the game had to be shortened to 12 overs per side. Danish Kaneria praised Chahal for his outstanding performance with the ball during the game, during which the deft spinner picked up an important wicket while only allowing 11 runs to come off three overs.

“Yuzvendra Chahal has excellent ball control. A right-arm leg spinner is certain to provide the mystery component whenever there are seam-friendly circumstances. Additionally, Irish batters are untrained in how to handle leg spinners” Danish Kaneria Said.
In the first T20I, Chahal’s exceptional bowling effort earned him the title of Player of the Match.
