IRE vs IND: Match Preview – India Tour of Ireland 2022, 2nd T20I. India and Ireland are set to collide with each other in the 2nd T20I of the ongoing series. IRE vs IND 2nd T20I takes place on June 28 (Tuesday) at The Village Stadium in Dublin.

In the IRE vs IND 1st T20I, India crushed Ireland by 7 wickets. India won the toss and opted to bowl first in the match. Due to rain, the start was delayed. Later, the match was reduced to 12 overs per side. Batting first, Ireland posted 108-4 on the board in 12 overs.

Ireland openers Paul Stirling and Andrew Balbirnie failed to give a good start to the team, getting out for 4 and 0 respectively. Later, Gareth Delany got out for 8 runs. However, after losing 3 wickets quickly at the start, Ireland executed a stable batting show later.

Harry Tector and Lorcan Tucker piled up a 50-run stand for the 4th wicket. While Tucker got out for 18 runs, Tector went on to smash unbeaten 64 runs for the team, taking the team’s total to 108-4 in the end. India managed to get only 4 wickets.

Later during the chase, Indian opener Ishan Kishan slammed a quickfire of 26 runs off 11 balls. Craig Young castled Kishan with a beautiful delivery in the 3rd over. He later also dismissed Suryakumar Yadav on the very next ball for a duck.

Later, Hardik Pandya and Deepak Hooda scored the most runs for the team. While Pandya got out for 24, Hooda remained unbeaten on 47 and grabbed victory for the team. India reached the target in just 9.2 overs and won by 7 wickets. Yuzvendra Chahal was awarded man of the match.
