IRE vs IND: Twitter Reacts As Deepak Hooda Becomes 4th Indian To Hit A T20I Century

Indian batter Deepak Hooda continued to make the most of the limited opportunities he is receiving as he smashed a hundred in the 2nd T20I against Ireland on Tuesday.
He became only the fourth Indian after Suresh Raina, Rohit Sharma, and KL Rahul to score a century in the shortest format of the game. While Raina has one to his name, Rohit and Rahul have four and two respectively.

Hooda, who played a match-winning hand in the first T20I, came in at No. 3 after Ishan Kishan had fallen early. In the company of Sanju Samson, he put on 176 runs, the highest-ever partnership for the second wicket for India.
Samson himself scored an impressive 42-ball 77 including 9 fours and 4 maximums. Hooda was the aggressor for much of the innings, however, and he brought up his hundred in the 18th over of the game.

His 57-ball 104-run knock consisted of nine fours and six sixes. Hooda was dismissed by Joshua Little in the same over he reached his century but he is now in the company of elite Indian batters to have scored a T20I century.
Here’s how Twitter reacted to Deepak Hooda’s century:
Top notch performance by @HoodaOnFire to bring up his maiden century ? and great knock by @IamSanjuSamson too! Mature innings with some sensational hitting across the park ? Well done to make the most of the opportunity given to you #INDvsIre @BCCI
