IND vs NZ: "All The Eyes Will Be On Shubman Gill"- Mohammad Kaif Lauds Young Indian Batter Ahead Of New Zealand Tour

Team India will play New Zealand in a white-ball series beginning on Friday after experiencing a devastating end to their T20 World Cup 2022 campaign. Shubman Gill has been picked to the T20I team and will probably play in his first shortest format match.
In the T20 International matches, all-rounder Hardik Pandya will captain India, while Shikhar Dhawan will lead the team in the ODI matches.
In addition, Umran Malik, an IPL 2022 star, will make his return to international action with the inclusion of Kuldeep Yadav, Mohammed Siraj, and Yuzvendra Chahal in the squad. Umran Malik played his final T20I match against England in July.
Selectors Did The Right Thing To Call Shubman Gill To The T20I Side: Mohammad Kaif
Mohammad Kaif, a former Indian cricketer, applauded the selection committee for including Shubman Gill in the T20I squad and said that the 23-year-old batter has been in “great form.”
“He is has been in class form over the last 5-6 months. He played a crucial role in Gujarat Titans’ IPL triumph. He has scored a lot of runs, and averages between 50-60 in first-class cricket.
During this tour, all the eyes will be on Shubman Gill. He only played in ODIs earlier but the selectors did the right thing to call him to the T20I side,” Kaif said during a discussion on Sportskeeda.
Since making his ODI debut in 2019, Gill has participated in 12 games and amassed 579 runs. During a three-match ODI series against Zimbabwe in August, he hammered his first international century. The right-handed hitter has 11 Test appearances and 579 runs.
In addition to this, Gill made his County Cricket debut for Glamorgan against Sussex, where he hit his first century.
