Indian Cricket Team would be ecstatic after winning the T20I Series against New Zealand. The 3rd T20I match was tied according to the DLS method due to the incessant. India’s star performer with the ball was Mohammed Siraj who took 4 wickets for 17 runs in his 4-over spell as he was quite disciplined in his line and length.
New Zealand on the other side would be disappointed as India had rested a lot of senior players for this Series. There were huge expectations from James Neesham to accelerate at the end of the innings. It looked as if the left-handed batter wasn’t ready for the challenge.
Ross Taylor on Mohammed Siraj And Arshdeep Singh
Ross Taylor was having an interaction with ESPNcricinfo and was asked about India’s bowling. “The credit must go to India. Mohammed Siraj has been pretty impressive through-out the whole series, his pace and bounce and his control in McClean Park as the boundaries are short square and someone of his pace could get hurt when used pace on the ball,“ said Ross Taylor.
Arshdeep continues to improve, the way he swings the ball; once again the early wicket of Finn Allen which was pretty similar to the way Shaheen Afridi got him out in the Semi Final where he swung the ball in. Two (Siraj & Arshdeep) are good finds of India going forward. With the World Cup in 2 years, these two have to be there who could form a potent attack with Bumrah.” he added.
Great Triumph for India
The Men in Blue would be pumped up as the team excelled in all the 3 departments of the game. The management would be delighted after seeing the captaincy of Hardik Pandya who was calm and composed in the 3rd T20I match even when the bowlers were taken to the cleaners.
India though has some concerns at the top of the order as Rishabh Pant, Shreyas Iyer & Ishan Kishan weren’t among the runs. There were high expectations from Shreyas Iyer to make a case for himself. It won’t be wrong to say that apart from Suryakumar Yadav, there was no significant contribution.
