IND vs NZ: "You Are Talking About Rohit Sharma, Who Has Got Two Three Double Hundreds In ODI Cricket" - Nasser Hussain's Epic Reply To Michael Atherton

Indian Cricket Team once again succumbed to pressure in the ICC Tournament. The Men in Blue were completely outclassed by England in all the 3 departments of the game. Skipper Rohit Sharma had a forgettable T20 World Cup where he scored only 1 half-century in 6 matches.
The Men in Blue would be looking to start afresh against New Zealand. India has given the reins in the hands of the flamboyant all-rounder Hardik Pandya and it looks like the selection panel has moved on from the senior members of the team as a lot of players are not there in the squad.
Michael Atherton and Nasser Hussain in a Verbal Spat
Michael Atherton was having an interaction with Sky Sports and made some interesting comments on Rohit Sharma. “You talk about the Morgan impact on England and rightly so. But do you think it’s harder in India for two reasons, one is the number of cricketers they have so obviously the competition is greater. You kind of feel, if you lose your place and somebody comes in, you might get your spot back again. And also the differential between the match fees paid by BCCI and sponsorship arrangements that these big names like Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, and KL Rahul, there’s a huge differential, much bigger than England. Do you think these two factors make it more difficult for India?” said Michael Atherton.
Nasser Hussain came up with a brilliant response. “I think you are complicating things. I wouldn’t be worried if they weren’t incredibly talented cricketers. You’re not talking about someone who is on the edge of the seat for a place in the side. You’re talking about Rohit Sharma, who has got two (three) double hundreds in ODI cricket, so the guy can smash it. You’re talking about KL Rahul, when you do see him bat. I think it’s the fear,” said Nasser Hussain.
Rohit Sharma Invaluable
Rohit Sharma is a dangerous batter in the ODI format as the longer he stays, the more damage he can inflict. It would be interesting to see whether the batter changes his approach in the upcoming ODIs.
The management has a conundrum of whether to make KL Rahul as an opening batter or get the experienced batter Shikhar Dhawan into the playing 11. These are quite happy headaches as both batters know how to accelerate in the power-play overs.
