Kuldeep Yadav- 17 Wickets In The Series
The discarded Indian spinner was the team’s premier spin option between 2017-2019. In between this time, he played for the team across formats and was at his wicket-taking best. With MS Dhoni behind the stumps, Kuldeep Yadav and Yuzvendran Chahal reaped the rewards from his experience when it came to the DRS dismissals.
He ended the series as India’s highest wicket-taker in the ODI series with 17 wickets to his name. Chahal finished the series with 16 wickets as the ‘Kulcha’ duo took 33 wickets together. The likes of Hashim Amla and AB De Villiers who were a part of the South African side back then failed to pick his deliveries.
Yuzvendra Chahal -16 Wickets In The Series
If it was Kuldeep from one end, it was Chahal from the other. He ended the series with 16 wickets and his contribution was as substantial as was from Kuldeep.
