All You Need To Know About Gujarat Titans' 2.6 Crore Buy Abhinav Manohar Sadarangani

The 27-year-old Karnataka batsman Abhinav Manohar Sadarangani was bought by Gujarat Titans (GT) at the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 mega auction on day one of the two-day event, which is being held at the Hotel ITC Gardenia in Bengaluru.

The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 player auction list was announced on February 1 and in total 590 cricketers were shortlisted from the original list of 1214 players based on the wishlist to go under the auction hammer.

However, some changes were made on the eve of the mega auction and 10 new players were added, amongst which 3 were Australians and 7 were Indians.

Amongst the 600 players, who were shortlisted for the Indian Premier League 2022 auction, 229 were capped, 364 were uncapped and 7 belonged to Associate Nations. Also, amongst the 600 players, 377 were Indian players and the remaining 223 were overseas players.

Abhinav Manohar Sadarangani Gets Sold To Gujarat Titans

Abhinav Manohar was born on 16 September 1994 and he made his T20 debut on 16 November 2021, for Karnataka in the preliminary quarter-finals of the marquee 2021–22 Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy (SMAT).

The right-handed batsman batted exceptionally well in his debut game and scored 70 runs off 49 balls including 2 fours and 6 sixes against Saurashtra.

He made his List A debut on December 19, 2021, for Karnataka in the preliminary quarter-finals of the 2021–22 Vijay Hazare Trophy, against Rajasthan.

Overall, in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy, he smashed 162 runs in just 4 games at a sensational average of 54 and strike rate of 150.

Abhinav Manohar Sadarangani has played for the teams like Karnataka, Southern Champs, Bijapur Bulls, Bellary Tuskers, Hubli Tigers, in his career.

Meanwhile, Abhinav Manohar Sadarangani had a great day in the IPL auction as his name came out in the uncapped batters set and several teams showed interest in the aggressive batsman.

Kolkata Knight Riders and Delhi Capitals started the bidding war and Gujarat Titans also joined the fray. In the end, Gujarat Titans were successful in adding Abhinav Manohar Sadarangani to their squad for INR 2.60 crore.
