Young Delhi Capitals (DC) opening batsman Prithvi Shaw has been fined for breaching the Indian Premier League’s (IPL) Code of Conduct during the match against KL Rahul-led Lucknow Super Giants (LSG).

The 45th match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 was played between Rishabh Pant-led Delhi Capitals (DC) and KL Rahul-led Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on Sunday, May 1.

Lucknow Super Giants won the match by 6 runs against Delhi Capitals to win their 7th game of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022.

Out of 10 games in the 15th edition of the Indian Premier League, so far, Lucknow Super Giants have won 7 and lost 3 and they are at the No.2 position in the points table, just behind Hardik Pandya’s Gujarat Titans (GT).

Meanwhile, Delhi Capitals have only won 4 out of 9 games in the Indian Premier League 2022 and they are at the sixth position with 8 points.

Prithvi Shaw from Delhi Capitals has been reprimanded and fined 25 percent of his match fee – IPL

In an official Indian Premier League (IPL) media release, it was asserted that the 22-year-old Prithvi Shaw has been fined 25 percent of his match fee for breaching the Indian Premier League’s (IPL) Code of Conduct. It was further stated that Shaw has admitted the offence and has accepted the sanction.

“Prithvi Shaw from Delhi Capitals has been reprimanded and fined 25 percent of his match fee for breaching the TATA Indian Premier League’s (IPL) Code of Conduct during his team’s match against Lucknow Super Giants at Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai,” official Indian Premier League (IPL) statement.

“Mr Shaw admitted to the Level 1 offence under Article 2.2 of the IPL Code of Conduct and accepted the sanction. For Level 1 breaches of the Code of Conduct, the Match Referee’s decision is final and binding,” the statement further added.
