Jasprit Bumrah is well and truly the leader of the Mumbai Indians bowling attack with Trent Boult unavailable and Jofra Archer missing the season. MI face 2020 finalists Delhi Capitals in their first of the two games on Sunday. The venue for the match is the Brabourne stadium.

Mumbai Indians bowling coach Shane Bond in a video posted by the MI Twitter handle spoke about the team’s preparations ahead of their big game against Delhi Capitals. He also had a specific mention on Jasprit Bumrah, the leader of the Mumbai attack.

Bowling Captain Jasprit Bumrah Keen To Keep Boys Into A Nip: Shane Bond

“It was a great session for the boys. And, yeah, we are looking forward to the first game. We are ready to go. We understand how we want to go about our work in the first match. Our bowling captain Booms [Jasprit Bumrah] was keen to keep the boys into a nip, particularly focusing on death bowling” said Bond.

Mumbai have a good set of overseas pacers in their squad as well. They roped in Riley Meredith, Tymal Mills and Daniel Sams in the mega auction along with Archer. All of them along with Bumrah makes the Mumbai attack look a very potent one. However, the England pacer is only available to play from IPL 2023 and is currently not a part of the squad.

Further speaking about his team’s preparations, Shane Bond said that the team looks well prepared ahead of their first game. He is impressed by the attitude of the young cricketers and is ready to get the ball rolling.

Mumbai Indians are placed in group A alongside, KKR, DC, RR and Lucknow Supergiants. The group is also being called the group of death in IPL 2022.
