GT vs RCB: Watch – Shubman Gill Gets Dismissed For 31 In Shahbaz Ahmed's Dramatic Over

Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) spin-bowling all-rounder Shahbaz Ahmed dismissed star Gujarat Titans (GT) opening batsman Shubman Gill in the 43rd match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 at the Brabourne Stadium in Mumbai on Saturday, April 30.

Shubman Gill has played 2 big knocks for the Hardik Pandya and co. in the Indian Premier League 2022 and other than a couple of good innings he has failed miserably with the bat.

His poor form with the bat continued in the match against Faf du Plessis-led Royal Challengers Bangalore as he scored 31 runs off 28 balls, including 3 fours and one six, before getting dismissed by Shahbaz Ahmed on the 5th ball of the 9th over.

The over in which Gill lost his wicket was a dramatic one as he smashed a four to the spinner on the third ball and on the 4th ball there was an appeal for caught behind and the on-field umpire raised the finger.

However, Gill reviewed it and the replays showed that there was no connection between bat and ball. Also, there was an additional loss for RCB as it was found that Anuj Rawat’s gloves were in line with the stumps and it was declared a no-ball.

Shubman Gill smashed a 98m six on the next ball and on the next-to-next ball, Ahmed trapped Gill LBW with a flatter delivery when the batter tried to play a flick shot.

However, Gill reviewed it after a chat with the non-striker, Sai Sudarshan. The DRS showed that there was no bat involved and there were three reds, which led to Gill going back to the dugout.

Gujarat Titans Lose Few Quick Wickets After A Good Start

Earlier, Virat Kohli and Rajat Patidar scored amazing half-centuries in the first innings of the match and Royal Challengers Bangalore were able to post 170/6 on the board.

Chasing the target, GT openers Wriddhiman Saha and Shubman Gill had a good 51 runs partnership off 45 balls before the former was dismissed by Wanindu Hasaranga. After Gill’s wicket, skipper Hardik Pandya was also dismissed for 3 by Shahbaz in the 11th over.
