Gujarat Titans Team News- Gujarat May Name Unchanged XI

Gujarat Titans drafted in 3 players, skipper all-rounder Hardik Pandya for Rs 15 crore, Afghanistan leg-spinner Rashid Khan and Indian opening batter Shubman Gill ahead of the mega auction, forming a core group that has a bowler, a batter, and an all-rounder.

While Shubman Gill is expected to do the bulk of the scoring at the top, the Titans have picked up fresh faces in the likes of Abhinav Manohar and Sai Sudhaarsan. Gurkeerat Mann Singh and David Miller are experienced names in the middle order.

Gujarat Titans will rely on Rashid Khan along with India off-spinner Jayant Yadav in the spin department. In Rahul Tewatia, they have a handy leg-spin option along with Afghanistan’s Noor Ahmad. Adding variety to the spin attack is Tamil Nadu left-arm spinner R Sai Kishore who heads into IPL 2022 on the back of domestic success.

Vijay Shankar and captain Hardik Pandya are local all-rounders for the team. Meanwhile, Gujarat has 3 wicketkeepers in Wriddhiman Saha, Matthew Wade, and Afghanistan’s Rahmanullah Gurbaz who was brought in as a replacement for England opener Jason Roy. Gujarat Titans also have a strong fast-bowling group, which has the likes of Mohammed Shami, Lockie Ferguson, Alzarri Joseph, Varun Aaron, and Dominic Drakes.

Delhi Capitals Team News- Mitchell Marsh And Anrich Nortje Doubtful,  Delhi May Field Lungi Ngidi Or Mustafizur Rahman

Mitchell Marsh, who has been ruled out of the limited-overs series against Pakistan due to a low-grade hip flexor injury, is likely to make his comeback soon, according to Delhi Capitals (DC) assistant coach Shane Watson.  He said that the injury isn’t too bad.

Delhi Capitals could be in for a blow as doubts arise over Australia all-rounder Mitchell Marsh’s availability after he sustained a hip injury. Mitchell Marsh was set to be available for the franchise after April 6. The all-rounder’s injury comes as another setback for the Delhi Capitals who could be playing without South African fast bowler Anrich Nortje for much of the season.

Delhi only fielded two of the seven overseas players in Tim Seifert and Rovman Powell they have in their squad during the match against Mumbai.

While Mitchell Marsh’s Australia teammate David Warner is set to join DC after April 6, fast bowlers Lungi Ngidi and Mustafizur Rahman were part of the South Africa-Bangladesh ODI series recently and were in quarantine when Delhi Capitals played on Sunday, but their next game on April 2 gives the two bowlers enough time to join the squad.

Kamlesh Nagarkoti who was too expensive against Mumbai (0/29 in 2 overs) may be replaced by either Lungi Ngidi or Mustafizur Rahman.

Delhi Capitals Predicted Playing XI against Gujarat Titans: Prithvi Shaw, Tim Seifert, Mandeep Singh, Rishabh Pant (c) (wk), Rovman Powell, Lalit Yadav, Axar Patel, Shardul Thakur, Khaleel Ahmed, Kuldeep Yadav, Mustafizur Rahman.
