Royal Challengers Bangalore’s quest for their elusive IPL title continues as they were knocked out by Rajasthan Royals in the IPL 2022 Qualifier 2 game.
RCB made the cut in the playoffs on the back of Mumbai Indians’ five-wicket win over Delhi Capitals.
Lack of intent against Rajasthan, where barring Rajat Patidar no one stood up to take the responsibility. RCB lost to Rajasthan by seven wickets as Jos Buttler scored his fourth century of the season.
Wanindu Hasaranga and Harshal Patel were exceptional with the ball throughout the season as the duo shared 45 dismissals between them.

1. LSG vs RCB (May 25, Kolkata)
Top-order batter Rajat Patidar’s marvellous 112 guided RCB to 207/4 in the Eliminator game against LSG.
The Madhya Pradesh batter hammered 12 fours and seven sixes at a staggering strike rate of 207.41.
Patidar forged an unseparated 92-run stand with Dinesh Karthik as RCB added 84 runs in the last five overs. Karthik slammed 37 off 23 balls to provide the impetus later in the innings.
RCB won by 14 runs with some brilliant bowling by Harshal Patel (1/25) and Josh Hazlewood (3/43) in the slog overs.
2. RCB vs GT (May 19, Mumbai)
Senior RCB batter Virat Kohli rose to the occasion in a must-win for RCB to keep their IPL 2022 qualifications chances alive.
Kohli came against all the odds and stepped up with a belligerent 54-ball 73 to propel RCB to an eight-wicket victory.
Kohli smashed Rashid Khan for a six to bring up his 44th IPL fifty and second of this season against the Titans. He was involved in a 115-run stand with captain Faf du Plessis as the duo paved the way for the 169-run chase.
Glenn Maxwell went ballistic, scoring 40 runs in 18 deliveries with five boundaries and two sixes. RCB completed the chase with eight balls to spare.
3. SRH vs RCB (May 8, Mumbai)
RCB defeated SRH by 67 runs to avenge the humiliating loss in the first leg of the season.
Despite Kohli’s departure on the first ball of the game, skipper Faf du Plessis and Rajat Patidar put 105 runs together in the second-wicket stand. Glenn Maxwell (33) played important role in the middle before Dinesh Karthik slammed 30 runs off eight balls.
He scored 22 runs off IPL debutant Fazalhaq Farooqi in the last four balls of the innings as RCB marched at 192/3.
Leg-spinner Wanindu Hasaranga claimed 5/18, his maiden five-wicket haul in T20 cricket, to fold up SRH’s innings at 125.
