Despite having a number of world-class players in their set-up, Royal Challengers Bangalore have never been able to win a title in the Indian Premier League. However, the fans would be pretty happy with how they have performed in the last few seasons.
Unfortunately, they won’t be having the services of AB de Villiers and Yuzvendra Chahal this year but RCB have managed to rope in players like Faf du Plessis and Josh Hazlewood. Their overall squad pretty much sorted on paper. But how well they play on the field remains to be seen. In this article, we will be taking a look at three players from RCB who can win the orange cap in the 2022 edition of IPL.

Virat Kohli
India’s former skipper, Virat Kohli has been enduring a lean run with the bat for the last couple of years. It’s been more than 2 years since Virat Kohli last scored an international hundred. He hasn’t taken the world by storm in the last two editions of IPL either. However, it doesn’t mean that he can’t come back to his original self.
The fans would hope that he brings his form back in the upcoming edition of the Indian Premier League. The former RCB skipper is certainly key to the franchise’s fortunes in the tournament. For the unversed, he is the highest run-getter in IPL history. Virat Kohli has over 6000 runs in IPL and he can really wreak havoc with the bat if he manages to get a positive start in the upcoming season.
2. Glenn Maxwell
With AB de Villiers no longer in the team and Virat Kohli not in the best of forms, there will be a lot of responsibility on the shoulders of Glenn Maxwell for RCB in the upcoming edition of the Indian Premier League. Glenn Maxwell enjoyed a sensational outing with the bat last year. He finished the season as the highest run-scorer for the team.
In 15 matches, Maxwell managed to score 513 runs in 15 matches at an outstanding average and strike rate of 42.75 and 144.10 respectively. The franchise would hope that he showcases a similar season with the bat this year as well.
3. Faf du Plessis
Faf du Plessis is no longer playing for the South African Team. He can now focus completely of giving his best in the Indian Premier League. But, he would no longer play for CSK either. RCB, though, has managed to buy his services for the upcoming edition of the IPL and has also made him their new captain.
Being the captain of the team, he will have the responsibility of leading the side from the front. The South African cricketer had a phenomenal season with the bat last year for CSK. He finished the tournament as the second-highest run-getter. RCB could make it to the playoffs if Du Plessis manages to replicate similar performances with the bat this year as well.
