In the absence of KL Rahul, David Warner could be a great replacement for Punjab. David Warner has the ability to create a similar impact with the bat.

Add to that, he has a great record as a captain for SRH in IPL. David Warner is likely to play for a new franchise in IPL 2022 and Punjab Kings could be that team. David Warner didn’t enjoy the best of the outings for SRH in IPL 2021.

Though, he has been playing quite well for Australia in the ongoing ICC T20 World Cup 2021. In 5 matches, he has played two match-winning knocks with the bat in the Super 12 stage.

Suryakumar Yadav

To bolster their middle-order, Punjab would look to buy the services of someone like Suryakumar Yadav. His addition to the team should keep the batting unit in good stead.

Yadav has been phenomenal over the last few years for Mumbai Indians and is now a part of the Indian Cricket Team in white-ball cricket. Punjab Kings would feel a lot more confident in the presence of Suryakumar Yadav in the side.

Punjab Kings bought a few overseas fast bowlers in the 2021 edition such as Nathan Ellis, Chris Jordan and Jhye Richardson etc. However, none of them could make an impact with the ball. Ahead of the Mega Auction, Punjab should buy the services of Lockie Ferguson to bolster their pace bowling department.

He was outstanding for KKR in the second leg of IPL 2021. His accurate lengths, pace, and bounce were hard to cope with for the opposition. In 8 matches, he managed to pick 13 wickets at an economy of under 8.
