The unavailability of Jos Buttler in the second leg and Ben Stokes and Archer during the entire season dented their hopes of lifting the title. The skipper enjoyed his best season with the bat but there was little contribution from other batsmen. Their bowling too didn’t inspire a lot of confidence. IPL 2022 Auction: 3 Players Rajasthan Royals Can Target

Shimron Hetmyer 

Rajasthan Royals’ lack of runs from the lower middle-order was one of the biggest reasons behind their failure in IPL 2021. They would look to address the issue ahead of the Mega Auction in IPL 2022.  Shimron Hetmyer is a decent choice in the middle-order. He has shown great form in the last couple of years and finished several games with his power-hitting ability.

Hardik Pandya

Another player that Rajasthan might splurge their money on is Hardik Pandya. He could add great value to the side, keeping in mind his all-round potential with both bat and ball. Pandya is steadily recovering from his back injury. He is likely to be fully fit by the time the next edition of the league gets underway.

Hardik Pandya has the ability to finish the games for the side and can also give at least a couple of overs with the ball. Rajasthan perhaps would be really pleased if they manage to buy his services in IPL 2022 Mega Auction.

Mohammed Shami 

Rajasthan lacked the services of an experienced Indian fast bowler in IPL 2021. There is no denying that they had a weak fast bowling unit in the absence of Jofra Archer. And to bolster that, Rajasthan might look to add someone like Mohammed Shami in their bowling unit.

Shami bowled really well both at the start and in the death overs for Punjab Kings during the second leg of the IPL 2021. However, Punjab might not retain him due to his heavy price tag.
