IPL 2022 Auction: Complete List of Big Players Who Didn't Sign Up for The Mega Auction

The highly anticipated IPL Mega-Auction 2022 is all set to take place in the month of February. All the teams have been given a salary purse of INR 90 crores to buy the players in the auctions.
The 8 existing franchises were allowed to retain as many as 4 players and release the rest of the players. The eight teams have already announced their retention list.
Franchises such as CSK, MI, KKR, and DC have retained four players each ahead of the mega auctions. Rajasthan Royals, Sunrisers Hyderabad, and Royal Challengers Bangalore have retained three players, while Punjab Kings have only retained two players.
In a bid to make the tournament a level playing field, the two new teams, Lucknow and Ahmedabad franchises were allotted a budget of INR 33 crores to pick 3 players from the pool prior to the start of the mega auctions.
The Lucknow franchises have picked KL Rahul as their captain for the next edition of the tournament for a whopping amount of 15 crores. The other two picks are Marcus Stoinis (11 crores) and Ravi Bishnoi (4 crores).
On the other hand, the Ahmedabad franchise have made Hardik Pandya their skipper, having offered him INR 15 crores. Rashid Khan has also been bought by the franchise for INR 15 crores, while Shubman Gill has been offered INR 7 crores.

For those of you who don’t know, a total of 1214 players have signed up for the mega auctions. It includes 270 capped players, 312 uncapped players, and 41 are from associate nations.
High profile players such as David Warner, Pat Cummins, Ravichandran Ashwin, Shreyas Iyer, Shikhar Dhawan, Ishan Kishan, Suresh Raina, Mitchell Marsh, Adam Zampa, Steven Smith, Shakib Al Hasan, Mark Wood, Trent Boult, Faf du Plessis, Quinton de Kock, Kagiso Rabada and Dwayne Bravo have set their base price at INR 2 crores.

Meanwhile, some of the world-class players, surprisingly, didn’t sign up for the mega-auctions due to different reasons. Legendary West Indies cricketer, Chris Gayle won’t be participating in the next edition of IPL as he hasn’t signed up for the mega auctions.
English cricketers Ben Stokes and Jofra Archer also didn’t register for the event either. Besides, the likes of Mitchell Starc, Sam Curran, and Chris Woakes won’t be available for the mega auctions as well. Here’s the complete list of big players who didn’t sign up for the auctions:
