IPL 2022 Auction: List Of All Players Who Got Sold In The Mega Auction
The much-awaited IPL 2022 mega auction came to a conclusion on Sunday with most of the teams going home with a smile on their faces, satisfied with the squads they have managed to assemble.
Only four teams (CSK, KKR, MI, PBKS) filled their slots up to the maximum number of 25. Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) spent their entire purse and bought 21 players, the least among all the franchises.
The most expensive player was Ishan Kishan, who was bought by MI for INR 15.25 crores, followed by Deepak Chahar for CSK at 14 crores. The most expensive overseas player was Liam Livingstone who was bought by PBKS for INR 11.5 crores.
There were some expected buys like Shreyas Iyer for INR 12.25 crore to KKR but the franchises also didn’t hold back on players who have underperformed, Nicholas Pooran in particular who received an INR 10.75 crores bid from SRH.
Avesh Khan broke the record for the most expensive uncapped player when he bagged a contract of INR 10 crores with LSG. In total, 237 players out of 590 that went under the hammer were bought by the franchises.
