Gujarat Titans and Rajasthan Royals, who finished at the top two spots in the points table after the group stage, made their way into the final where Gujarat Titans emerged as the ultimate winner.
There were many players who stood out with astonishing performances in IPL 2022. There were also others who failed to grab the limelight and could not showcase their magics. IPL 2022: Benched XI Of The Tournament
Yash Dhull

Yash Dhull is the first player on this list. The right-handed batsman was picked by Delhi Capitals in IPL 2022. After Dhull’s amazing performances in U19 T20 World Cup 2021 and Ranji Trophy 21-22, he emerged as a popular name in the DC set-up for the 2022 season. However, he did not play any match in the tournament.

Glenn Phillips

Glenn Phillips is another player on this list. The New Zealand player was part of Royal Challengers Bangalore in IPL 2022. He has played as many as 35 T20I matches for New Zealand, smashing 644 runs at an average of 25.76. However, he was benched by the team throughout the 2022 season as Dinesh Karthik remained RCB’s first choice of the wicketkeeper.
Ashwin Hebbar

Ashwin Hebbar is another player on this list. Hebbar was a member of the Delhi Capitals in IPL 2022. He is a top-order batsman. However, the right-hand batsman never got a chance to play in the tournament. Delhi Capitals stuck to openers like David Warner, Prithvi Shaw, or KS Bharat throughout the season. They never gave a chance to Ashwin Hebbar to play any game in the season.
Gurkeerat Singh

Gurkeerat Singh is another player on this list. The right-handed batsman was part of Gujarat Titans in the season. However, he did not play any games for the team. Gurkeerat has played 41 games in IPL so far and hence accounts for a good experience. However, Gujarat Titans benched him in all the games despite having some dead-rubber games. Gurkeerat accounts for 511 runs and 5 wickets in IPL so far.

Kyle Mayers

Kyle Mayers is another player on this list. The West Indies player was part of Lucknow Super Giants in IPL 2022. While the new franchise gave a chance to many players in the tournament, Kyle Mayers was one who always warmed the bench. The left-handed batsman has played 7 T20I matches for West Indies and scored 142 runs.
Dominic Drakes

Dominic Drakes is another player on this list. Dominic Drakes was part of Gujarat Titans in IPL 2022. He was another player who did not play a single match in the tournament. Drakes gave a marvellous performance in CPL 2021 final last year. He is a bowling all-rounder from West Indies. He has played 5 T20I games so far and picked 3 wickets.

Arjun Tendulkar

Arjun Tendulkar is another player on this list. The left-handed batsman was picked by Mumbai Indians in IPL 2022 auction. Moreover, many young MI players got a chance to arrive on the field but Tendulkar was seen warming the bench in every game.
Rajvardhan Hangargekar

Rajvardhan Hangargekar is an under-19 player who was picked by Chennai Super Kings in IPL 2022 auction. He is a right-arm pacer who also represented U19 Indian team at the T20 World Cup 2022. While CSK faced a lot of bowling issues in the absence of their leading pacer Deepak Chahar, Rajvardhan Hangarekar never got a chance to play for the team in spite of being a pacer.
Lungi Ngidi

Lungi Ngidi was picked by Delhi Capitals in IPL 2022 auction. The South African pacer is another player who did not get a chance to play in the tournament. Lungi Ngidi often makes it to the South Africa national side and has also played 14 IPL games so far picking 25 wickets. However, he warmed the bench in the DC squad throughout the 2022 season.

Jayant Yadav

Jayant Yadav is another player on this list. The right-arm spinner represented Gujarat Titans in the 2022 season. Yadav also makes appearances for the Indian team in several international matches. However, the right-arm off-spinner did not get a chance to play for Gujarat Titans. He warmed the bench in every game despite Gujarat Titans playing some dead rubber games in the league stage.
