IPL 2022: The Buzz And Excitement Of IPL Is In The Air - Virat Kohli Ahead Of Season Opener
Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) batter Virat Kohli could feel the butterflies in his stomach as he geared up to prepare for the 15th edition of the biggest T20 league in the world, the IPL.
Kohli gave up captaincy and is now moving on to focus solely on his batting while Faf du Plessis takes over as the skipper. Ahead of the opening match against Punjab Kings (PBKS), Kohli was as excited as ever.
“Heading into matchday weekend. All the buzz and excitement of IPL are in the air. Love this anticipation and butterflies in the stomach before the tournament starts,” Kohli stated on Koo.

Kohli added that the team is well prepared and they cannot wait to head out onto the field and perform for the franchise. He also asked for the fans to visit the stadium and support them along the way.
“Hello everyone in Bengaluru, [to] all the RCB fans. Firstly, it’s a new season, a fresh start, a different format this year, the team’s looking strong. We’re very excited to start on a strong note.”
“But more importantly, I am really looking forward to heaps and heaps of you coming over from Bangalore, getting hold of tickets and wearing your jerseys and with those red flags and cheering for us.
“Please come to the stadium, support us and we will give you everything, every game like we have over so many years and we’ll definitely try our best to go all the way and win the title,” Kohli added.
The season starts on Saturday when CSK takes on KKR in the opening match at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.
