IPL 2022: Can't Win With Just One Player Scoring Briskly - RP Singh Berates Ravindra Jadeja's Poor Knock Against PBKS

Former Indian cricketer RP Singh opined that Chennai Super Kings (CSK) captain, Ravindra Jadeja, played a poor knock against Punjab Kings (PBKS) which affected his team’s chances of winning.
While Ambati Rayudu at the other end was maintaining a strike rate well over 200, Jadeja struggled to play in his usual style and couldn’t even score more than run-a-ball. Eventually, it hurt CSK which was left to chase 27 runs in the final over and they ended up losing by 11 runs.
“His strike rate was not good, had he scored more quickly, Chennai Super Kings might have had 17-18 runs to chase in the final over. Rayudu was playing at a good rate, but none of the other batters did.”
“You can reach close to the target with just one player scoring briskly, but to win you need three or four players like that,” Singh stated on Cricbuzz.
“Now it seems all the doors have been closed for them” – RP Singh
With that defeat, it is all but confirmed that CSK is also out of the reckoning for a playoff spot. The defending champions have had a terrible campaign so far and are on the verge of an early exit.
“Had CSK scored even 30 runs off the 17,18 and 19th over, they would have closed the game off with MS Dhoni in the end. Overall a good bowling performance by PBKS, Rahul Chahar was not at his best, but still.”
“Playoffs are out of reach for CSK now. I don’t see them being in the top four along with MI. Had they won today, they would have been alive. Now it seems all the doors have been closed for them,” Singh added.
