IPL 2022: DC All-Rounder Mitchell Marsh To Be Hospitalised After Testing Positive For Covid-19 - Reports
Delhi Capitals (DC) all-rounder, Mitchell Marsh will be hospitalized after he returned a positive result in his covid-19 test with a CT value of 17. The Aussie had returned a positive result in the Rapid Antigen Test but in the subsequent RT-PCR test, Marsh tested negative.
Unfortunately, the second round of the RT-PCR tests spelled bad news for Marsh as he returned a positive result once again. The CT value is also quite high meaning the 31-year-old will need to be hospitalized immediately as reported by Indiatoday.
Along with Marsh, a member of the DC social media team, a doctor, and 3 members of the hotel staff also tested positive for the virus. The franchise will now wait for further tests before taking a final call on the game against Punjab Kings (PBKS) on Wednesday.
They had earlier canceled their flight after being advised to stay inside their hotel rooms. The mini-outbreak began when the experienced physio, Patrick Farhart tested positive. At the time, he was being closely monitored by the medical team of DC.
The IPL 2021 season was severely affected due to a covid outbreak. It had to be postponed to October and moved to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) from its usual window of April-May. The cricketing fraternity will be hoping the current season won’t suffer a similar fate.
