The right-arm pacer is currently undergoing an eight-week rehabilitation programme at the National Cricket Academy in Bangalore.
The Chennai Super Kings have already started their preparations for the upcoming season of the T20 league and they are expecting Deepak to join the camp in Surat sometime in the next couple of weeks as they want to monitor the fitness of the pacer to play him as soon as possible.

Also, earlier, it was told that the pacer would have to undergo surgery after suffering the injury but Deepak Chahar didn’t want to go under the knife as he is eyeing a spot in the Indian squad for the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2022.
