IPL 2022: Dinesh Karthik Picks His Three Best Uncapped Indian Pacers Of IPL 2022
IPL 2022: Dinesh Karthik, the Indian wicket-keeper batter, who is currently on a roll in the IPL, has revealed the three uncapped Indian pacers that have impressed him the most in IPL 2022.
Karthik, who has 285 runs at a strike rate of 192.56, chose three uncapped Indian pacers who have stuck out to him the most in the latest episode of the ICC Review.
All The Three Pacers Are Left-arm Quick Bowlers
The first name on the list is of Arshdeep Singh. After making his IPL debut in 2019, Arshdeep’s 2021 season was one of his best, with 18 wickets in 12 matches. Punjab retained him ahead of the 2022 season.
Despite bowling the majority of his overs in the death, he has improved his pace and has a fantastic economy of 7.82 so far this tournament.
“I have been impressed by Arshdeep Singh because he has been so good at the death, I think he has bowled some lovely yorkers and has a lot of control. Even though they have a world-class bowler (Kagiso Rabada) in their lineup, at times, he has stood up for them solely with the ball and I enjoy that about him”, Karthik said about Arshdeep.
The 2nd bowler on the list is Yash Dayal. People took notice of his performance in the 2021 Vijay Hazare Trophy, as he took 14 wickets in seven matches at an economy rate of just 3.78.
Gujarat outbid Kolkata Knight Riders and Royal Challengers Bangalore in a bidding war at the IPL auction for INR 3.2 crore, 16 times his base price.
“Yash has been a terrific find. He has been able to move the ball both ways with the new ball and I enjoy that about him”, Karthik said about Dayal.
The 3rd player on the list is Mohsin Khan. After spending the previous two years warming the bench with the Mumbai Indians, Mohsin has made the most of his chance after Lucknow purchased him in the auction. He has taken 13 wickets in 8 games.
“He got picked late in the tournament but he is making sure when he bowls, the heavy ball that he bowls … he has bowled some brilliant spells. He has consistently bowled at less than six runs an over, and he has been really impressed with his slower ball as well”, Karthik said about Khan.
Dinesh Karthik is playing a very important game for RCB against GT as his side looks to remain in contention for a playoff spot.
