IPL 2022: Have Been Lucky To Meet Virat Kohli A Couple Of Times - Tottenham Hotspur Striker Harry Kane

Virat Kohli is the leading run-scorer in the IPL and the craze around him being an international skipper is unmatchable. He has achieved all the success in international cricket and is amongst the top run-scorers as well.

He has been successful with the bat in the previous IPL editions. However, in IPL 2022, Virat Kohli has struggled throughout. He has been run out a couple of seasons and have found other modes of dismissals as well.

Speaking to Star Sports ahead of Tottenham’s match against Brentford at the Brentford Community Stadium, Harry Kane talked about his favourite IPL team. He also spoke about meeting Kohli previously as well.

“So my team is RCB. I have been lucky enough to meet Virat Kohli a few times and speak with him. They have picked up some good players this time.”

“They were unlucky last year but they did the right things this year, they started well. There are some great teams at the IPL. I just like watching all of them to be honest but hopefully, RCB can go well,” he added.

Kane spoke about meeting Virat Kohli when India toured England in 2018. He admitted why he admires his batting so much.

Virat Kohli Is Incredible To Watch: Harry Kane

“Virat is incredible to watch. A real down to earth guy. He has fire in his batting and passion when you watch him play which is great to see.

“We have been playing cricket for a year and a half and so we were playing pretty much once or twice a week and that was good fun. We enjoy playing cricket, obviously, the IPL is on at the moment so we’re enjoying watching that as well,” he added.

So far in this IPL season, Kohli has scored 119 runs from seven outings which included a first-ball duck against Lucknow Super Giants.
