Nick Knight, a former England batter, remarked on it after the match about Kohli’s dismissal and the potential worries regarding his batting.

Virat Kohli had yet another disappointing performance on Tuesday when he was dismissed for 9 runs against Rajasthan Royals.

Kohli was moved to the batting lineup and began for the team against Rajasthan Royals on Tuesday night; nevertheless, he flopped again just as his short stay at the wicket came to an end in only the second over of the game.

Kohli ended with a score of 9 after surviving multiple edges before succumbing to Prasidh Krishna. Kohli has only scored 128 runs in nine innings in the Indian Premier League 2022 thus far, with a strike rate of less than 120.

Nick Knight said, “For the most part, he stayed on the edge of his bat” (the innings against the Royals). That was a strange dismissal, and I don’t think he’ll think about it again. For him, it’s just not working out right now. It’s more like ‘see ball, hit the ball,'” Knight explained.

“Also, every batter has been in this circumstance at one point or another. You suddenly feel like you’ve reached ten, then twenty, and finally twenty-five. The closer you get to 25, the more at ease you’ll feel. I understand what’s going on,” the former England batter added.

‘Just be calm, play out a few deliveries’: Nick Knight

Knight recalled Faf du Plessis’ advice to him before the toss and advised Kohli to maintain his composure.

“The finest piece of advice I can give him is to… I’m confident that the players who are better than me are giving it their all. Just stay calm and practice a few deliveries. Perhaps you should put in a little more effort. “

“At the toss, Faf said something to me that I think is exactly correct; the key to batting in these conditions is finding a way through the opening couple of overs,” Nick Knight remarked.

“I’d be surprised if that wasn’t Faf’s counsel on the other end of the line. You could want to contribute 10, 15, or 20 at times. Then you get the sensation of being on the run. It isn’t occurring at the moment. ‘What do I have to do?’ he could be seen thinking. It will take place, and it will take place quickly.”

Rajasthan Royals (RR) defeated Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) by 29 runs to win their sixth match in the Indian Premier League 2022.
