IPL 2022: Looking Forward To Do Well And Win Lots Of Matches – Shikhar Dhawan After Joining Punjab Kings (PBKS)

Senior Indian opening batsman Shikhar Dhawan was bought by Punjab Kings (PBKS) at the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 mega auction, which is being held at the Hotel ITC Gardenia in Bengaluru on Saturday, February 12.
Shikhar Dhawan has been performing well consistently for several years in the Indian Premier League (IPL) despite not being a part of the Indian team in the shorter format.

He became the first player to be sold in this year’s auction and he was bought by Punjab Kings for Rs 8.25 crore.
Dhawan triggered a bidding war between Punjab Kings and Rajasthan Royals in the auction and in the end Punjab Kings were successful in including Dhawan in their squad.

Dhawan shared a video on his official Twitter handle in which he said that he is looking forward to doing well for Punjab in the Indian Premier League and winning many games for the team. He stated:
” I am very happy to be picked by Punjab Kings and I am really looking forward to do well and win lots of matches, looking forward to come over there. Thank You!.”

Notably, Dhawan was released by Delhi Capitals ahead of the Indian Premier League 2022 mega auction and he had set INR 2 crore as his base price. Overall, Dhawan has played 192 games in the Indian Premier League and has scored 5783 runs at an average of 34.63 and strike rate of 126.63.
