IPL 2022: MS Dhoni Is Someone Who Is Very Calculative In The Middle During Chases - Mike Hussey
Chennai Super Kings (CSK) batting coach Mike Hussey revealed that former skipper, MS Dhoni, is always calculating while batting in the middle and usually ends up winning the match for his team.

Recently, Dhoni turned the clock back and smashed 16 runs off the last four balls of the game to take his team over the line in vintage fashion. The master finisher stayed till the end and in typical style, ended the game in the last over.
“MS is probably an interesting one because he is someone that is very calculative in the middle. I mean, we are having conversations with him in the middle, and I will be starting to panic a bit.”
“The net run rate is going up and although I have got to hit, he will be like, ‘don’t worry, they are still going to bowl this guy, he won’t know where to bowl to you, I can take this guy’ and he is calculating all the way till the end,” Hussey said in a video posted by CSK.

Hussey further added that Dhoni has everything sorted in his mind and already knows which bowler he wants to take on. The bowler at the receiving end usually ends up succumbing to the immense pressure of having to bowl to Dhoni.
“How many times has he won the game in the last over? But, he had it all mapped out. Everyone’s a bit different in how they like to go about it,” Hussey further added.
Although CSK won the IPL 2021 season, Dhoni was woefully out of form. However, he has looked at ease this season and his fans will be hoping for more of such moments.
