Young Indian left-arm pacer Chetan Sakariya has said that dismissing Chennai Super Kings captain MS Dhoni during the Indian Premier League 2021 at the Wankhede Stadium was the best moment for him from the 14th edition of the marquee T20 league.

Chetan Sakariya, who played the Indian Premier League 2021 for Rajasthan Royals, was bought by Delhi Capitals (DC) at the Indian Premier League 2022 mega auction for INR 4.2 crore. Notably, he had set his base price as INR 50 lakh.

Meanwhile, Sakariya recalled Dhoni’s dismissal from IPL 2021 and said that the wicket of MS Dhoni was more special for him that his debut game.

“Picking MS Dhoni’s wicket is definitely the best moment for me from IPL 2021. My debut game was also special but nothing like taking Dhoni bhai’s wicket. He is a legend of the game and to bowl to and dismiss a legend is always a very good feeling,” he told cricket.com in an interview.

The young left-arm pacer was asked which two batters will be his next target, to which he replied by saying that he would have liked to dismiss AB de Villiers but unfortunately he has retired. He added that he is eyeing former Royal Challengers Bangalore captain Virat Kohli’s wicket.

“I bowled to de Villiers in the nets as well in the match. It is very difficult to bowl to him because he plays all sorts of shots in the death overs. But now that he has retired I will not be able to get a chance to dismiss him. So Virat bhai is the one batsman I’d like to dismiss in IPL 2022,” he said.
