England National Cricket Team explosive batter Jos Buttler, who is part of Rajasthan Royals (RR) in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022, has revealed whether he would permit veteran off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin to Mankad the batters as a skipper of the team.

Jos Buttler became the first batsman to be mankaded in the Indian Premier League (IPL), as he was mankaded by premier off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin during IPL 2019 and after the dismissal, Buttler was involved in a heated debate with Ashwin.

Meanwhile, veteran Indian off-spinner Ashwin was bought by Rajasthan Royals at the Indian Premier League 2022 mega auction in Bengaluru for INR 5 crore and fans got excited to see him share the dressing room with explosive England wicketkeeper-batsman Jos Buttler, who was retained by the franchise ahead of the auction.

During an interaction on ESPNCricinfo, Rajasthan Royals opener Buttler was questioned whether, as a captain, he would allow Ashwin to Mankad the batters, to which he responded by saying “No.”

Also, he was further asked whether Ashwin would listen to him and follow his advice to which he once again replied by saying “No” before bursting into laughter.
