Indian wicketkeeper-batsman Ishan Kishan after being picked by Mumbai Indians (MI) at the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 mega auction said that he is excited to be back again with the franchise.
Ishan Kishan was released by Mumbai Indians (MI) ahead of the Indian Premier League mega auction and they decided to retain Rohit Sharma, Jasprit Bumrah, Suryakumar Yadav and Kieron Pollard.
Meanwhile, Ishan Kishan, who had set INR 2 crore as his base price, triggered the bidding war between the teams in the auction. However, Mumbai Indians successful managed to win the bidding war against Punjab Kings, Sunrisers Hyderabad and Gujarat Titans to acquire the services of Kishan.
Mumbai Indians bought Kishan for a whopping INR 15.25 crore and before today Mumbai Indians had never bought any player for more than INR 10 crore in IPL Auction.

Meanwhile, wicketkeeper-batsman Ishan Kishan said that everyone in the Mumbai Indians team has treated him like a family and he hopes to deliver his best for the team. In a video shared by Mumbai Indians on Twitter, Kishan said:

Meanwhile, Ishan Kishan leapfrogged Shreyas Iyer to become the most expensive player at the Indian Premier League 2022 mega auction and he is now the second most expensive Indian bought in the history of the IPL Auction.
