Former Australia all-rounder Shane Watson, analyzing Kohli’s current condition, believes that Kohli’s decision to lead India took all of his energy.

Cricket fans are weeping because of Virat Kohli’s extended bat-long drought. Kohli was dismissed for a golden duck in Friday’s IPL 2022 encounter between the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) and the Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH).

However, the modern-era great’s career has come to an end when he struck his second consecutive golden duck in the IPL against Sunrisers Hyderabad on Saturday.

Shane Watson hailed Virat Kohli as a “superhuman”:

Shane Watson, a former Australia all-rounder, believes Kohli’s decision to lead India sucked away all of his energy. Watson, who is currently an assistant coach with the Delhi Capitals, recalled Kohli’s performance against RCB earlier this week when he felt he was a little off.

Shane Watson praised him as “superhuman” for remaining engaged in the sport and maintaining the same level of energy throughout, and for not missing a single game of cricket.

“There was something slightly different with Virat in their last game against the Delhi Capitals. I’ve played against and with him for a couple of seasons at RCB since I’ve seen him previously. And he appeared to have a peculiar, off-kilter vibe. The thing with Virat is that he is always pumped up when he bats or plays in the field.”

“He’s a fantastic nature with the intensities he’s able to keep up his game,” he added. “What he’s been able to do thus far and sustained for such a long length of time, he’s a Superhuman,” Watson said.

Royal Challengers Bangalore was knocked out for 68 runs in 16.1 overs, the lowest score in IPL 2022. With nine wickets in hand, SRH knocked down the modest target within only eight overs.
