IPL 2022: "Shreyas Iyer Will Make So Many Runs This Year That He Will Be In The Orange Cap Race" Says Aakash Chopra

Aakash Chopra has expressed his speculations for the IPL 2022 campaign for the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR).

In the IPL 2021, the Kolkata-based franchise came in second place. They’ll be aiming to go all the way this time, having young captain Shreyas Iyer at the controls.

Shreyas Iyer will be among the top run scorers in the IPL 2022, according to Aakash Chopra. He expressed himself as follows:

“This year, who can really hit the most runs? Venkatesh Iyer, Shreyas Iyer, Nitish Rana, Sam Billings, and Andre Russell are also one of the players on their squad. It makes it appear that the batting order is helpful. Shreyas Iyer, I acknowledge, will hit the most runs out from the group. Shreyas Iyer will compete in the Orange Cap race because he might  so many runs this year.”

Varun Chakravarthy will be a key bowler for KKR Says Aakash Chopra:

Varun Chakravarthy is expected to be the most successful bowler for KKR, according to Aakash Chopra. He continued, saying:

“Who will take the most wickets in this match? This isn’t a squad where one bowler takes a lot of wickets; instead, they function as a unit. Sunil Narine and Varun Chakravarthy are the mystery spinners, while Pat Cummins, Umesh Yadav, and Shivam Mavi are the other players.”

As a result, the wickets will be divided into two groups. Varun Chakravarthy will be the player with the most wickets, in my opinion.

With 18 wickets, Chakravarthy was the highest wicket-taker for the Kolkata Knight Riders in the IPL 2021 season. Sunil Narine, who was responsible for 16 dismissals, was his closest competitor.

The Chennai Super Kings and the Kolkata Knight Riders will compete for a playoff position. He explained:

“Last but not least, where do you think they’ll end up? I believe there will be a contest between the two finalists from last year about who has more points, and one of them will qualify, possibly KKR.”

IPL 2022 will kick start from March 26 with KKR taking on defending champions Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in the first match of the season.
