Virat Kohli And Rohit Sharma Struggling This Season

In 13 games this season, Kohli has scored 236 runs at only 19.67 at a strike rate of 113.46. His count contains a single 50 and three first ball duck excusals. This is Kohli’s most terrible performance in 14 years of IPL. Just in the debut season, he had scored fewer runs than this year, but with a game leftover in the league stage with RCB competing for a spot in the playoff games.

Rohit is yet to hit a 50 this season whereas Mumbai Indians, who are as of now out of the contest to the playoff games, have two additional games to play.

“I’m not worried at all about the form of Rohit or Virat. They are too good…real big players. The World Cup is far away and I am quite confident that they will be in top shape much before the tournament,” he said.

Following the 2022 IPL, India will have four T20I series to play with the five-match challenge against South Africa scheduled to start in June. This will be trailed by two T20Is in Ireland and three in England and three more at home against Australia. However, it is yet to be confirmed by the BCCI.
