IPL 2022: T Natarajan Can Bowl 6 Yorkers In An Over Consistently: Sam Curran
IPL 2022: English all-rounder Sam Curran on a show on ESPNcricinfo has said that he thinks that T Natarajan has the ability to bowl 6 Yorkers in an over on a consistent basis.
Sam Curran who played for the title-winning Chennai Super Kings last season didn’t register for auctions this year to take time to recover fully from an injury.
Every Side Would Love To Have T Natarajan In Their Side- Sam Curran
The English all-rounder was impressed by Natarajan’s performance against Lucknow Super Giants. Natarajan picked up 2 wickets at the death, including that of a set KL Rahul and Krunal Pandya, and finished with 2-26.
His performance though, couldn’t help his team win the game. Nevertheless, his performance would give Sunrisers Hyderabad some hope going ahead in the tournament. SRH picked Natarajan for 4 crores at the mega auctions.
Sam Curran on Natarajan’s performance said: “I played against him in Pune last year. He actually defended 13 when I was on strike. I have experienced his yorkers. He is very skillful. A bowler who can hit six yorkers consistently.”
He further added: “He is someone most teams would love to have in their team. He’s a left-arm, got that different angle, and also gets a bit of reverse swing. The ball that he bowled to Pandya just tailed in and took the leg stump. It’s great to see him fit and back playing in the IPL as he is a class performer.”
T Natarajan has started the season well, he would hope to continue with this form as he would be eying for a spot in the Indian side for the T20 World Cup in Australia later this year. He even made his debut in Australia after a stellar 2020 IPL. He played all three formats for the country on that tour. He has since been struggling with his fitness. He would hope to be fit for the WC.
