IPL 2022: Too Many Drastic Changes, Overall Team Combination Has Gone Awry - Mohammad Kaif On SRH's 4-Match Losing Streak

Former Indian cricketer Mohammad Kaif has observed that Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) made too many changes to their playing XI which has completely altered the proper balance they had during their 5-match win streak earlier in the season.
On Sunday, SRH was comprehensively beaten by Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB). Faf du Plessis and co. scored 192 while batting first before bundling out their opponents for a paltry 125, resulting in a 67-run loss.
It is the 4th defeat in a row for the Orange Army and they look completely clueless on the field. Just a while ago, they were on a roll with five wins on the trot but certain personnel changes have messed with their combination.

“The overall team combination of SRH has gone awry. Marco Jansen is not playing. They won those five games in a row. But then, I don’t know why they made so many drastic changes to their team after five consecutive wins. It’s a surprise they haven’t managed to fit Jansen into the playing XI,” Kaif was quoted as saying to Sportskeeda.
“There is no harm in moving down the order” – Mohammad Kaif to Kane Williamson
Kaif further observed that Kane Williamson can bat down the order due to a prolonged dry patch. The SRH skipper has been struggling not just with runs, but also with his strike rate which is well below 100 at the moment.

“Yes, Kane Williamson can bat in the middle-order. He has done well at No. 3-4 and has a good record in those positions. If you are not doing well as an opener, there is no harm in moving down the order. He definitely has that option to bat, maybe, at No. 3,” Kaif further noted.
