IPL 2022 is set to entertain cricket fans from March 26, when the opening game of the tournament will take place at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. In the 1st match of IPL 2022, Chennai Super Kings will collide with Kolkata Knight Riders. This time, 2 more teams will be part of the tournament making it a 10-team event.

Moeen Ali takes the 5th spot on this list. Ali was part of Chennai Super Kings in IPL 2021. The left-handed batsman slammed 19 sixes last season. The England player played 15 matches and scored 357 runs at an average of 25.50. Ali also hit 1 half-century last year. Chennai Super Kings retained him for the 2022 season.

4. Glenn Maxwell- 21

Glenn Maxwell takes the 4th spot on this list. Last season, Maxwell shattered 21 sixes while playing for Royal Challengers Bangalore. At an average of 42.75, the right-handed batsman scored 513 runs in 14 innings. He also hit 6 half-centuries in the tournament. Maxwell is retained by Royal Challengers Bangalore in IPL 2022.

3. Ruturaj Gaikwad- 23

Ruturaj Gaikwad grabs the 3rd spot on this list. The right-handed batter slammed 23 sixes in IPL 2021. Gaikwad was part of Chennai Super Kings in the last edition. With 635 runs in 16 matches, he was also the top run-scorer of the tournament. He also slammed 4 fifties and 1 century in the tournament, batting at an average of 45.35.

2. Faf du Plessis- 23

Faf du Plessis bags the 2nd spot on this list. While playing for Chennai Super Kings last season, Plessis hit 23 sixes in the tournament. The right-handed batsman scored 633 runs in 16 matches at an average of 45.21. He also smacked 6 half-centuries in the tournament. Plessis will lead Royal Challengers Bangalore in IPL 2022.

KL Rahul will play for Lucknow Super Giants in IPL 2022.
