The IPL 2022 season is reaching its business end of the tournament with three teams, Gujarat Titans, Lucknow Super Giants, and Rajasthan Royals have reached the playoffs. The result of the MI vs DC contest will decide who between Delhi and Bangalore will be the fourth team to make the playoffs.

A total of six centuries have been scored in this year’s IPL so far. Jos Buttler has scored three centuries, KL Rahul two, and Quinton de Kock one. De Kock’s score of unbeaten 140 is the highest individual score for any batsmen this season. In this article, we will take a look at the five fastest centuries score in the IPL 2022 season.

5) KL Rahul – 61 Balls vs Mumbai Indians, Wankhede Stadium

Rahul’s score of 103 against Mumbai Indians was the second ton scored this season. He scored two centuries and both were against the Mumbai Indians. In this match, he scored 103 which included 12 fours and four sixes. Overall, he has scored 537 runs in the season so far.

4) Jos Buttler – 59 Balls vs KKR, Brabourne Stadium

Jos Buttler’s score of 103 against KKR was his second ton of the season. He absolutely decimated the Kolkata bowling attack after a slowish start to his innings. He hit nine fours and five sixes in that knock of his. Currently, he is topping the Orange Cap list with 629 runs from 14 matches.

3) Quinton De Kock- 59 Balls vs KKR, DY Patil Stadium

De Kock notched up his highest IPL score 140* off 70 balls against the Knights in LSG’s last league match of the season. He got to his hundred in 59 balls and brought out an immense batting display on that particular night. The way the keeper-batsman celebrated after he got to his century spoke a lot about his emotions and his love for the IPL and the game of cricket.

This was his second IPL ton overall. De Kock is third in the list of highest run-getters with 503 runs from 14 matches so far in the season.

2) Jos Buttler – 57 Balls vs DC, Wankhede Stadium

Buttler scored his highest IPL score of 116 against the Delhi Capitals. This was his third ton of the season which came almost a month ago on April 22. He hit nine fours and nine sixes against the Capitals. Since his third ton, he has lost his form completely. He has scored 130-odd runs in his last seven games. All his three tons came inside the first half of the season.

Rahul scored the first of his two tons against Mumbai in 56 balls at the Brabourne stadium. His knock included nine fours and as many as five sixes. The BCCI has produced the best batting strip of the season. Three of the six tons this year have been scored at the Brabourne.
