IPL 2022: Updated Points Table, Orange Cap and Purple Cap After SRH vs RCB & CSK vs DC

Another Sunday, another doubleheader treat in IPL 2022 as Sunrisers Hyderabad faced Royal Challengers Bangalore in the first game and Chennai Super Kings faced Delhi Capitals. Both the games were pretty one-sided as in the first game, RCB won by a massive 67 runs and in the 2nd game CSK came on top by DC by 91 runs.

Faf du Plessis won the toss and chose to bat first. Virat Kohli got out for his 3rd golden duck of the season. But Faf’s 73, Rajat Patidar’s 48 and Dinesh Karthik’s 8 ball 30 took RCB to 192 in their first innings.

SRH on the other hand never got going in their chase. They lost both their openers in the first over. After that Rahul Tripathi did score a fifty but the other batters were very poor. Wanindu Hasaranga picked up his first five-wicket haul in IPL.

Devon Conway made his 3rd consecutive fifty of the season which helped CSK put 208 runs in the first innings. 9 ball 21 by MS Dhoni in the slog overs entertained the crowd as MS continued his great form with the bat this season.

DC’s chase was rocked early when KS Bharat and David Warner got out inside the powerplay. Rishabh Pant and Mitchell Marsh got starts but couldn’t convert them as Moeen Ali accounted for both of their dismissals. In the end, CSK won by 91 runs as Dwayne Bravo ended the game with the double-wicket strike.
